Dudley, Walsall, Warwick University and Birmingham…

Today Ellie met the leader and the chief executive of Dudley Council, Patrick Harley and Kevin O’Keefe, and the chief executive of Walsall Council, Helen Paterson, to discuss the impact of Brexit and urge them to be more ambitious in tackling the climate crisis.

She also visited Warwick University. It was good to hear about their plans for carbon reduction in terms of both travel and buildings. Universities could and should use their significant collective purchasing power to shift the market in these areas. Their students demand nothing less!

Ellie rounded off her day by joining the impromptu #StopTheCoup protest that gathered in Victoria Square, Birmingham
