On Saturday 19th October, Ellie joined a million others in demanding a final say on Brexit.

Reviews of polls across the country over the last 3 years have shown that, gradually, the will to Remain has strengthened and hardened. The UK wants to remain part of the EU.

Democracy is not one election, one referendum. It is the continued relationship between the government and its citizens, based on transparency, accountability and freedom of speech. For the government to deliver Brexit based on a referendum that was deeply flawed, where the Leave campaign was found to have committed electoral fraud and in which people did not know the pertinent information is disingenuous at best.

Boris Johnson’s deal is a bad deal. It is a deal that destroys workers’ rights and removes environmental protections.

The Final Say must be put to the people, with the Leave option(s) put alongside a Remain option. We now have a much greater understanding of Brexit and what it could look like. We must be offered the choice.
