New Year’s Resolutions and the final furlong

Ellie returned to Brussels yesterday, ready to begin work for the last four weeks of her time as a Green MEP for the West Midlands.

Even as we are winding down in the EU, Ellie has big plans: bringing over 28 young people from the West Midlands to experience multilateral diplomacy, organising trade and development events, and publishing reports from the Youth Climate Assembly and Green New Deal back in the West Midlands.

There’s still so much to fight for, and in 2020 Ellie will be:

  • Campaigning to change the UK’s electoral system, as proportional representation is the only way we can deliver fair representation and governance
  • Campaigning for action on climate change, out on the streets with the school strikers and more, to hold this government to account
  • Maintaining links and connections with our friends in the EU, as we will always be European and want to preserve our ties with our closest neighbours
